Meet Our Assistant Principals
Mr. Ramon Acosta
Mr. Ramon Acosta serves as Assistant Principal at Lynn Community Middle School. While helping to manage the administrative and operational functions of the school, he also serves as the Athletic Administrator and chairs the school's bilingual department. Mr. Acosta has vast experience at the administrative level serving as Principal, Assistant Principal, and was a former Human Resources Director at Las Cruces Public Schools. He has also held various teaching positions throughout his career and taught ESL in night courses to families within his community. Mr. Acosta is responsible for establishing and implementing a community and family reading initiative as well as a dual language program.
In his free time, Mr. Acosta enjoys desert hiking and listening to music. He plays the guitar and loves Tejano dancing. Mr. Acosta and his beautiful wife have five amazing children and three grandchildren.

Mrs. Amy Moreman
Mrs. Amy Moreman is the assistant principal of Lynn Community Middle School. Her work is focused on supporting the reinventing of middle school education through cultivation of positive school culture, teacher and student leadership and assisting with ideas that will enhance academic achievement for all students. Mrs. Moreman began her career in education as a Kindergarten teacher in Colorado. After moving to Las Cruces in 2009, she served as a 4th grade teacher at Sunrise Elementary and later moved to Cesar E. Chavez Elementary where she taught 2nd grade for 4 years and was honored to receive Campus Teacher of the Year in 2018.
She shares her passion of teaching the teachers and has provided numerous training for staff on campus and at the district level. Mrs. Moreman serves as a reviewer for the AdvancED team. She plans to continue reviewing schools in New Mexico to assist in determining qualification for accreditation. Amy graduated from Colorado State University-Pueblo in 2007 with her BS in Liberal Studies and recently graduated from Grand Canyon University with her MA in Educational Administration. In her free time Mrs. Moreman loves to spend time with her family, travel and cook. Mrs. Moreman is married to Kevin Moreman, Associate Band Director and Director of Jazz Studies at Oñate High School. She has two boys, Anthony (14) and Benjamin (8) along with her two fur babies, Kimber and Bullet.

Mrs. Sylvia Chavez (Community School Coordinator)
Sylvia Chavez is the Community School Coordinator, her work is focused on supporting staff, students, parents and the community. She provides resources, parent workshops and after school programs. She is also working on a parent room that provides resources like computers, clothes and healthy snacks.
Sylvia began her career as an educational assistant in 1993 then became a teacher. As a teacher she has taught all grades in elementary. After many years of teaching she received her pk-12 admin license in December of 2018. She plans on partnering with the community to make LMS a place where all people feel supported and validated.
In her free time Sylvia loves to travel, bake and read. She has been married for 27 years and has 3 children, Israel(26), Adrian (22) and Raven (20) who are all thriving and creating their own special journeys with a little help from mom and dad.
